After posting a Firestorm warm-up piece a couple weeks ago, the owner of some more Brett Booth art commissioned me to do some of his others. I did this one today. Colossus by Brett Booth! Man, I love metal.
I also recorded my work session with dialog narration as I colored. I'll try to get that up on YouTube soon, too.
Ok, this is more than a daily warmup/play/practice. Stephen Segovia sent me some hires lines yesterday to play with with. I was too excited and actually started last night. So, this is a combo of an hour last night and about 30 minutes this morning. Longer than my typical warmup, but Stephen's work deserves the extra time.
Darth Vader. Lines by Stephen Segovia. Colors by me. Thanks again for the lines, Stephen! And I have to shout out to Jordan D. White for helming a great new era of Star Wars comics.
Color warmup/play/practice for today is using lines by one of my favorite artists, Alex Maleeev. I first saw his work on Daredevil and I was hooked.
This piece is definitely more playing that many of my others. No flats, just started coloring.
